The owner of this barn states that it was built between 1895 and 1905 by the Scheer family. This family still owns a Century Farm just across the street from the barn.
The barn was re-roofed with aluminum, probably soon after World War II.
The current owner purchased the property in the 1990s with an intent to save the barn, which was a very big job due to the poor state that the barn was in. Over the years, he has made many repairs.
