Gustave Stein, a German immigrant, built this barn in 1901. He was an inventor and walnut farmer who harnessed nearby Boeckman Creek to generate electricity for his farm and a hydraulic ram pump to provide water to his house and farm.
Charles and Lucille Boozier bought the property in 1946 and raised cattle, hogs, sheep, hay. alfalfa and walnuts. In 1968, they deeded much of their land to the City of Wilsonville for Memorial Park. Their children sold the barn and remaining land to the city in 1993.
The Stein-Boozier barn now sits in Murase Plaza in Memorial Park and is a popular site for weddings.
