The Trube barn was built by Henry Trube, a German immigrant, somewhere around 1900. As recently as July on 2018, the barn was still standing, surrounded by warehouses and Interstate 5. However, the land underneath it was sold for over 18 million dollars in May, 2018. When I went to photograph the barn in November, there was no sign a barn had ever stood there, just an empty field and a few trees.
